My lonely world

My smiles are prententious
They are carved out by ice.
They crack each time I smile.

My heart is cold
It is raining in there
Droplets of worries and unhappiness.

I am just alone
In my lonely world
The four blank walls
Sealing me in boredom

My mind is runnning wild
No longer the usual me.

Trapped in a world of my own.
My own world.

A place on this earth that i call mine
Monday, February 27, 2006

I am in search of a place on this earth that is truly mine. Away from the buzz of the city, poverty is eradicated, people are friends, no academic workload and a life of only smiles. I am not where I am. Am I? Was I simply overwhelmed by my double As and a B for 'A' levels that I chose to succumb to other's control. I want my own direction. I am not happy.

Maybe cause of my foul mood that I am saying all this. I still feel the pain of losing an aunt that had been part of my life since I was borned. Life goes on. No matter how much I hate the place I am in now.

A sad sad girl
Tuesday, February 21, 2006

Hmm.. I am in a forlon mood but just feel like penning down something. My mum's best friend just passed away this morning at 8.15a.m. She died of cancer which tormented her for the last months of her life journey. My mum saw how she had shrunken, shrivelled and how all her energy had seeped away from a once vibrant person. Perhaps, it's true! Life is so unpredictable that we will never know what will happen next. Money and fame become secondary if you lose your precious health.

This new year, aunty prepared the last red packet for me and my brother. though she was sick, she bothered to still pack two red packets for me and my brother. She handed my mum those 2 red packets with her shivering hands. What a painful sight for me. Tears rolling down but I will be strong after today. No more tears!

Just a note... i passed my driving test.

A forlon girl just wanting to let out the pain... Sorry if I snap at you for the next few days... : (

Terence, congrats!

Gosh! I got so many projects that I think I am going mad soon. Deadlines after deadlines are pushing my pressure to the apex. Finished project at 9p.m. at night! Someone save me! Ah...! And I really have no life this week. Cooped in hall for 5 days. I am really exhausted!

A tired soul typing with her frail fingers.

3 bad happenings in my life
Sunday, February 05, 2006

I seriously think that bad things come in threes. I have been in a brood of really bad lucks recently.

bad thing that happened to me:
1) On Saturday (04/02/06), when I was in bus 61, I met this super irritating woman who sat opposite me. The moment she got up the bus, she plunged her heavy buttock on the seat and I am surprised it didnt break. Then, she started glaring at me. I didnt even do anything to her. Almost wanted to dig out her eyes! and before she got off the bus, she purposely stomped her fat foot on my feet! It was so painful! I really wanted to scream at her but luckily she got of in time. To think she wanted to harm me when i look so innocent, sitting there reading my notes!! Wah, so pissed.

2) Monday (06/02/06)- I fell down at the void deck of my house. It was unglamorous and I was wearing skirt. Luckily, only my maid was around to see that embarrassing moment of mine. Currently, suffering from swollen left big toe! All the blood has dried and I am cleaning right now! How great!

3) Monday (06/02/06)- Opened my hostel door and left the key there. And I went round the whole room in a moad search for my keys. Wah!! Very unlucky leh

Bad luck, shoo...

MY SUPER IQ TEST
Wednesday, February 01, 2006

Your IQ score is 109. This means that you are smarter than 72.0% of all other Super IQ test takers. This number is the result of a scientifically-tested formula based on how many questions you answered correctly on the Tickle Super IQ Test. But there's more to intelligence than a single number, a single score, or a single label. Tickle uses 8 distinguishable dimensions of intelligence in the Super IQ Test. By analyzing your individual scores on those 8 scales, we are able to look beyond the raw IQ score into how you process information, and which intellectual strengths you're best at.Your test results indicate that the way you process information makes you a Practical Wordsmith. You're a highly organized, realistic, detail-oriented person. You think clearly and use your substantial verbal skills to eloquently convey your ideas. What's important to you is getting your point across. Your ability to pick up new words, fundamentally understand their meaning, and use them at your discretion gives you enormous opportunities. At the very least you get the added flexibility of being able to express yourself and explain things to others in the most precise way possible, whether in a professional or personal context. Your set of strengths comes in handy whenever a situation is unclear. First, you are more likely to take a practical approach than others and more able to focus on the most pressing problem. Second, you are able to articulate the approach in a way that others aren't. Communication can be challenging when dealing with others who prefer to talk in highly abstract terms or who need to express things in numbers and purely logical patterns, but you are typically clear enough to make communication work regardless of the circumstances. Here's an example of your Practical Wordsmith thinking skills at work in a real-life situation:You and your friends are trying to figure out what to do with your free evening. One friend says that she hasn't gone to a movie in awhile, and offers the bonus that it's often educational to watch a movie. The other friend starts talking about how, actually, movies aren't educational, but rather, misleading. Movies don't imitate life, he says, it's the other way around. You listen to this conversation and realize that it's going nowhere. It's obvious to you that one friend wants to go to a movie and the other doesn't, but that they aren't able or willing to talk about that. So you interject and say, "How about we forget the movie and go out for coffee instead!" No one objects, and you've miraculously stopped a directionless conversation from continuing. You know that even if their argument did end, they'd be no closer to making a decision. Your friends are grateful for your help but might have trouble expressing it since it takes most people awhile to cool down from a debate.
anchornav('dimensions');

Now that you know about how you process information, let's drill down to see what your specific intellectual strengths are. None of the intellectual abilities is more important than any of the others. And it's your unique scores on each of these scales, that makes you an interesting addition to any group, office, or family. These intellectual strengths color your world and the way you perceive it, and also allow you to contribute your original perspective when solving problems and coming up with ideas. No one intellectual dimension can define you. It's the original combination of your intellectual strengths that makes you special.

As you can see, your top scores are in the areas of Organizational, Numerical, and Mechanical. This is a very unusual combination — only 6 in 1,000 people have it. Want more proof? Then pay attention to the percentages of people who scored higher and lower than you on each of the 8 intellectual strengths.

Organizational Ability

Your organizational ability score is 99 out of 100. Organizational ability is what allows you to organize and arrange information effectively, be precise, and proofread carefully. Here's a question that required high organizational ability:Which of the following is the closest match to 8,392,211,109?A. 8,382,311,119 B. 8,3925211,129 C. 8,39,2211,209 D. 8,329,211,108 Here's the answer: The correct answer is B because it only has two mistakes, whereas the rest have three. In every-day life, organizational ability is what you use to proofread a paper or organize a messy desk. Coming up with an organizational system for keeping track of things comes easy to those who are high in this ability. It is a highly practical skill. Compared with others, your organizational ability is very high. This means that you have a very strong organizational ability.
