When exhaustion sets in
Tuesday, May 29, 2007

I am finally feeling better after a week of incessant coughing until I feel giddy. Now my stomach muscles are aching from all the coughs. :(

I have been busy settling all my stuff. I have come to a point that I can forget what I did just the day before and my head is bogged with many things that have yet to be settled. The scale of my project has grown so big that it is rather beyond my imagination Everyone is pilling up their expectations, injecting all sorts of suggestions and so on but no one seems to understand that handling this project is already a great struggle for me. I am still a girl at heart although I have just turned 21! I am not lamenting about all the work that I have to do. In fact, I do feel that what I am working on now is for a worthy course and am happy that what I am doing is going to put smiles on the faces of the less fortunate. I can go all out for this worthy course and I am really putting in all the needed energy into this project. I think I have never worked so hard for something before in my entire life! But there are times where I start to doubt myself...

But I want to jump out of this! I just want to put in my last lapse of energy into this project and make it a real success! But so what is my definition of success? I really have no idea. I am not thinking but for me now, I will put in all my effort, and whatever the outcome is, I shall accept. No use pondering over it cause the future is so uncertain. There are going to many more challenges that are coming my way and optimism is perhaps the best medicine for me. I shall smile at each day that comes. Gaining the strength from my loved ones. With their support, Avy is going to conquer what lies ahead! I want to go on a holiday! I want a break!

Sick Sick Sick
Sunday, May 27, 2007

I am still sick hia.. My body feels weak and strengthless..

I have been rather busy with CurL stuff... Meetings and all.. and there are so many stuff that have yet to be settled. My powerboats, boats, funding and many more logistics stuff... :( I just cant seem to get my mind off them. I need a break from it BUT I know that there isn't time for me to do so. I am learning to take each step slowly. I am not a robot.

Yesterday, missed session cause I wasnt feeling well and didnt want to tire myself out but still went out at night with kj. We went to Padang to see the performance by the acrobatic group from France. Enjoyed the short performance and the fireworks at the end of it. Fireworks are always so beautiful, full of colours and life as they explode against the night skyline. But like all beautiful things, they come and go... Why am I sounding so pessimistic? hahaha...alright, here are some photographs.

Busy week
Thursday, May 24, 2007

Last week was real busy! Meetings, media brief, kite flying... fun fun fun! It's been a ages since I flew a kite... :P

Hahaha... but now I am coughing till I feel giddy. Have been sick for 5 days already. Went to Dragon boat association under the hot blazing sun this morning to view the pontoons for my event and came home and slacked the day away. Eat, sleep, watch TV, surf the net... What a piggy life!

CurL is pressing nearer and many things are falling into place. Phew.. I just hope that everything will flow smoothly. It's been an exhausting 9 months journey into this project and in 3 months time, everything is going to be over. I wonder how I would feel when August 18 finally arrives and everything comes to an end. No more meetings, no longer typing emails furiously every night, no more cries of anxiety and frustration, no more receeing of venues... Well, I wont know until that time comes. Shall take each step at a time... :)

Looking forward to the coming months of excitement!

Here are some photographs from media brief and kite flying!

Sick period
Sunday, May 20, 2007

Everyone is falling sick! Recently, my brother had been down with a flu and now it seems like its gonna be my turn soon. Phie is sick too and hope she will recover soon. I keep having intermittent hot and cold, one moment feeling very cold and the next perspiring. This is no time to fall sick. :( Feeling airy fairy. Gotta rush off for tuition soon.

Well, I am finally 21, crossing another milestone in my life. Praying that CurL'07 will be a great success. It's the one big thing that I sincerely hope that everyting will turn out fine. The sight of my CurL committee being so united brought so much joy to my heart. It's an indescribable feeling but all that I know was that I was moved to tears when I got home. It has given me the confidence that CurL'07 will be a great success!

May the years ahead be a smooth sailing one for one and all. Hoping that everyone stays healthy.
