Last Thursday was the official of CJC's Performing Arts Centre. A few of us went back for the opening ceremony and it was great! CJC has really transformed so much. The performing arts standards have risen. Kudos to the dance, choir and band for getting SYF Gold! CJC rocks!

It was also nice to meet the teachers. Mr Ang and Ms Ang have given birth to a cute little boy. Aww... What a happy family. So sweet. Very happy for them.. :)

Ms Ng is also blissfully married Mr Leong! So happy for Ms Ng. She is one dedicated teacher that I will never forget in my entire life. Praying that she will stay happy.

Can feel it coming...
Monday, July 23, 2007

I can feel it coming... My bones are aching and my whole head is spinning badly... But I have to hold on strong.

The next few days are packed with so many things to do. Tomorrow is media brief preparation from 9am-12pm. Then, the day after is the walk through for media brief and 26th July is finally the media brief! That's not it. 28th July is team building session for our participants! It doesn't help when my body is sending me a signal that I need to slow down. My chest is aching too... :(

Will be trying to finish the video that I have been working on tonight before resting. I have to be up at 8 tomorrow.

Seeking comfort
Tuesday, July 17, 2007

Yesterday was a real busy night attending to many emails and msn messages after I came home. Oh yeah! I bought a new hp... Sony Ericsson S500i... I was won over by the beauty of the phone which is quite normal for bimbo me. :P

Back to the emails and msn messages. Yesterday, there was a surge of people who showered on me with words of encouragement or showed me concern in different ways. A simple message to ask me to hang on is enough for a mentally tired soul. Sob Sob... It's always so nice to know there are people around who are giving me the moral support to go on. Seeking comfort in all the encouragements from people.

On the flip side, there was a friend of mine who said that I didnt have a life since I took up the project. At that point, it dawns on me that I havent been having much time for myself. These 3 months holidays, which was meant for me to rest or earn money, have been poured all into the project. I am tired but the thought of how the beneficiaries will be enjoying themselves keeps my spirits going. Jiayou Avy! I will use up my last burst of energy!

Will be meeting up with some of my CurL members later to discuss some stuff. But one good experience from this project is that I have made many good friends which I hope can last for a lifetime.

Avy's updates 2
Monday, July 16, 2007

I havent been blogging for ages. Here's an update on my current happenings.

Met up with my pw mates that day at a rather cosy cafe some where in Tiong bahru. It's always so sweet to meet up with my project darlings.

And finally, I am done with 2 dragon boat trainings! So happy! Everything went by rather smoothly accept for some hiccups at the beginning. I hope the beneficiaries and volunteers enjoyed themselves. Honestly, I was not physically tired but it's mentally tiring while praying that everything will go on well. So happy! We were on Channelnewsasia that night. And Zaobao and Straits Times reporters were also there. The hard work is finally paying off for getting the media's attention to better raise awareness of the abilities of people with disabilities. :)

Yesterday was Project IDentity, but due to the previous day's training, I was too shagged out. But I still managed to sell 6 t-shirts and 1 bookmark! :) It had been a fun packed weekend and today I will be recuperating at home. Need a rest.

My hp is dying. Oh manz... :(

Havent had the time to update my blog for a long time as I have been busy with my project stuff. Anyway, we had an art competition with the children last week and the theme was " My National Day." Was kinda amaze at the creatvity and talents of the children. Some of their drawings were very innocent and imaginative. I guess that's the wonder of being a child, so innocent and true.

Besides that, we had meetings with the volunteers from Boon Lay Sec, STC and TKGS too on 3 consecutive days. Shagged out totally. And this week is no better as we gear ourselves up for 8th July, our first training session. And after that, everything is just going to pour in like waves. In a blink of an eye, everything is going to come and go.

Anyway, Happy 21st bday Ee Bing!

Time to go and sleep. zzzz.... Darling bed, here I come.
